The Canadian Memorial at Vimy

Fifteen kilometres from Arras, this interpretation centre honours the memory of Canadian soldiers who served in the First World War.

It is located on the very spot where the fighting took place in 1917 during the Battle of Vimy Ridge.

The monument was designed and created by a famous Canadian sculptor, Walter Allward. It is decorated with 20 allegorical figures.
