The most beautiful testimonies of the history of Arras

The Musée des Beaux-Arts d'Arras has been housed in the Benedictine Abbey of Saint-Vaast for almost two centuries. Destroyed during the First World War, it was rebuilt identically and is now a listed historic monument.
 

A remarkable permanent collection

Covering 6000m², the museum presents a rich and diverse collection of 15th century tapestries, 17th century paintings, sculptures, furniture, porcelain, etc.

The museum's collections are spread over 3 levels:

• the ground floor presents jewels of medieval sacred art, notably the Angels of Saudemont (13th century statues in polychrome wood).
• the first floor displays numerous Flemish and Dutch paintings. Also discover the magnificent Mays room, which houses religious paintings from the 17th century.
• the second floor is devoted more particularly to the Arras school and its great masters.
