2024 World Fries Championship in Arras
The World Fries Championship is back on the Grand’Place in Arras on September 28. A second edition that is likely to be delicious again. If you fancy a crispy cone, you know where to go!

Professional and amateur chefs will compete in several categories to enhance fries.
The “Authentic fries” are reserved for professionals, as its name suggests, the candidates will have to present them as they are prepared and eaten in the North of France.
With the “Family fries”, you will see passionate amateurs at work! Homemade versions of fries that will make your mouth water.
Make way for the "Creative fries". The only condition for participating: develop an original recipe - in the shape, cooking and according to the imagination of the cooks.
"Fried sauce": hot or cold, it doesn't matter, the main thing is that the sauce is made on site, and without processed ingredients.
The Championship is reinventing itself for this 2nd edition: with the "World fries" category, participants will be able to cook fries according to the typical recipes of their country.
And thanks to "Fried hope" - which follows the same rules as the "Authentic fries" category, students in hotel training will be able to compete.
They will be accompanied by their teachers and will be able to offer an accompaniment or a sauce, in addition to the fries.
The show is likely to make your mouth water: many chip shops will be present on the Grand’Place, at the Village de la frite, where a potato sack race will take place.
Fries are also in the spotlight on the menu of the L’Albatros restaurant at the Fairway Hôtel & Spa Golf d’Arras!
